Shooting video's on a green screen is so 2004. Shooting video on a blank wall is boring and shooting video's in a professional studio costs more money then I want to spend.
So how can a regular Joe create a professional looking backdrop that is temporary yet looks permanent?
After playing around and experimenting with different materials and production techniques I settled on printing directly to 1/2" sheets of foam core. This material is light weight, inexpensive and the edges are soft so when you push two sheets together it is really hard to see the gap in between them.
Shooting the video straight made the image look a little flat so we wanted to get the view the feeling of depth. So we made the graphic wrap around the corner, added a plant and placed a 3D Logo we had on top of the foam core panel.
Now we can change video back drops in minutes while still getting a professional polished look.
